Terms of Service

The terms below govern the use of services provided by START-ROOT. We recommend reading them in full before ordering any service.

1. Acceptance of terms

By ordering or using any START-ROOT service (VPS, dedicated servers, web hosting, domains), you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted the terms below. If you do not agree with any of these provisions, please do not use our services.

2. Description of services

START-ROOT provides hosting services — VPS, dedicated servers, web hosting and domain registration — delivered from our own or partner datacenters located in Chișinău, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, London, New York and Singapore.

  • VPS and dedicated services include full root/administrator access to the allocated resource.
  • Web hosting services are managed through cPanel or DirectAdmin control panels.
  • Domain registration is also subject to the rules of the relevant registry for each extension (e.g. ICANN for .com/.net/.org).

3. Acceptable use

START-ROOT services may not be used for illegal activities, distributing malware, attacking third parties, spam, or hosting content that infringes copyright or applicable law. Violating this policy may result in immediate suspension of the service, without refund.

3.1 Shared resources (VPS, web hosting)

For services running on shared infrastructure, we reserve the right to limit excessive resource usage that affects stability for other customers.

3.2 Dedicated servers

The customer is responsible for the full administration and security of the dedicated server, including system updates and firewall configuration.

4. Billing and payments

Services are billed in advance, according to the billing cycle chosen at checkout (monthly, quarterly or annual). Non-payment by the due date may result in temporary suspension of the service, followed by termination after the grace period specified in the client panel.

5. Money-back guarantee

VPS and web hosting plans come with a 7-day money-back guarantee from first activation. Dedicated servers, domains and software licenses are not eligible for refunds, due to associated fixed costs.

6. Availability and SLA

We commit to maintaining 99.98% network uptime, calculated monthly. If this threshold is not met, eligible customers may request service credits according to the SLA policy available in the client panel.

7. Suspension and termination

START-ROOT reserves the right to suspend or terminate a service in case of a breach of these terms, fraudulent activity, or non-payment, with prior notice where possible.

8. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated periodically. Significant changes will be communicated by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
